Research Interests
|
My broad interests lie in the interconnections of sexual selection, mate choice, and sexual conflict. I am currently focused on the order Opiliones ("harvestmen") where a group of closely related taxa, the genus Leiobunum, belies a variable selection of genital morphologies and nuptial gift delivery systems. I am interested in exploring the content and behavior surrounding these structures as well as the possibility of a sexual arms race in this group.
I am also involved with the development of opilionid AFLP markers for use as a complement to sequential and morphological data in phylogenetic analyses.
